Since 2002 I have been working on a full-length motion picture. I was part of a small team along with writer/director Brendan Rogers and producer Will Phillips and the three of us spent several years working on this film, each of us taking on many positions in every aspect of production and post-production. It’s been 10 years since we started this ambitious journey, but after all this time we are so excited to announce that we signed a distribution deal and our movie is getting released on DVD!

The first release will be in the UK on 12 November 2012. Other releases are still in the works and I’ll be sure to keep you informed of them as well!

We’ve just released a new single! The song “Savior of the Skies” was written for the soundtrack to G.D. Falksen’s novel “The Hellfire Chronicles: Blood in the Skies” and it is on Volume 2 of the soundtrack cds. It will also be appearing on our next album when it is released.

The Cog is Dead have begun working on their second album in their brand new steampunk themed recording studio.

After many months of construction and renovation Timeship Records is now officially completed and fully operational. We’re all very excited to finally be in the studio again working on another album and we just wanted to share a few photos with you all of our brand new Steampunk/Victorian workspace.

Building A New Studio

The Cog is Dead / Timeship records are about to move into their new headquarters. For the past several months now we’ve been working on building our new recording studio. It’s been a somewhat large project but it’s nearing completion and I felt like sharing some photos of the process.

It started by knocking out a wall to convert two rooms into one large room.

The wall painted. We painted the pattern with one stencil and MANY repetitions.

Got the flooring down.

Ceiling fan installed.

Progress is going very well. If all goes according to plan we should be able to start setting it up in a week or two. We’re excited to get everything up and running!

Well, at long last here we are on tumblr! This digital age is fast paced and constantly changing. We wish things could be as simple and lovely as the Victorian age, but I suppose we’ll have to do our best to get by in this crazy world. At least it makes it easier for us to share our message and our music with all of you lovely people!
